Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer – Multi-skilled / Mechanical bias.

Location: Essex (A134 / A120 area).

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 plus overtime, dependent on experience.

My client is a metal processing company established for over 50 years, with a strong presence in aerospace, marine and premium automotive markets. The organisation employs over 115 people and offers modern facilities, a supportive team culture and opportunities for training and career progression.

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support the smooth running of the factory, resolve breakdowns, deliver planned maintenance and drive site-wide improvements to maximise quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Support the operation of CNC and Wax Injection Moulding machines.
• Resolve breakdowns and carry out planned maintenance.
• Drive improvements across the site to maximise quality and performance.
• Collaborate with team members and maintain a high standard of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance engineer with a mechanical bias.
• Experience in metalwork, fabrication and welding.
• Team‑player with excellent eye for detail.
• Comfortable working in fast‑moving manufacturing environments.

Salary & Benefits

Annual salary range of £35,000 – £45,000 (dependent on experience) plus benefits, with future progression opportunities.

Working Hours

Day role: 7:45 am – 4:15 pm, Monday – Friday. Flexibility to work on Saturdays as required (overtime rate applies).
