Location: HMP Portland, 104 Grove Rd, Portland, DT5 1DL

Salary: £25,566.00 per annum

Contract: Full time, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, fixed term

Essential Qualifications

• A to C in English, Maths, and Science
• Demonstration of practical work or hands‑on technical interest
• Skilled in the Microsoft Office suite of applications
• Good organisational skills

Responsibilities

Learn on the job alongside experienced electrical engineers, gaining practical experience in installation, testing, inspection, fault finding, and maintenance of essential electrical systems across the prison estate. Provide support in electrical systems testing and maintenance.
