Apprentice Electrical Installation Engineer

Location: HMP Belmarsh, Western Way, London. SE28 0EB

Salary: £25,566.00 per annum

Contract: Full time, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, fixed term

As an Apprentice Mechanical Engineer, you’ll learn alongside experienced professionals who live our values of Pride in People, Do the Right Thing, and One Team, contributing to meaningful work that supports rehabilitation and long-term social impact.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with skilled engineers, supporting the maintenance and repair of critical mechanical, plumbing and heating systems that keep sites safe and operational.

• Through on‑the‑job learning, mentoring and formal training, build specialist knowledge, practical skills, and recognised qualifications.

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSEs or equivalent at grades A to C or 9 to 4 in English and Maths
  • Demonstration of practical work or mechanical aptitude
  • Skill in the Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Good organisational skills
