Service & Installation Engineer
£32,000 - £35,000 + Company Van and fuel card + Overtime + On call allowance
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Service & Installation Engineer to join our team. This role involves servicing, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment both on‑site and in the field. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical fault‑finding skills and a proactive, team‑oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintenance, and repair of equipment
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out breakdown repairs
- Installation and commissioning of equipment
- Conducting pre‑installation checks (PDI’s)
- Attending site visits as required
- Providing technical support and guidance to team members
- Participating in an out‑of‑hours rota (1 week in 4)
- Maintaining stock levels of parts on company vehicle
- Daily communication with the office (typically upon job completion)
- Supporting general team activities and tasks as required
- Assisting with workshop/warehouse organisation and vehicle upkeep during downtime
- Attending quarterly engineers’ meetings (covering H&S, ISO9001, and continuous improvement)
- Participating in ongoing training, including Health & Safety
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
- Electrical experience, including single‑phase and three‑phase systems
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
Desirable:
- Basic hydraulic knowledge
- Mechanical experience
