We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Engineer to join our team, specializing in chiller maintenance and commissioning. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in servicing chillers and related HVAC systems, demonstrating strong technical abilities, excellent problem‑solving skills, strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Chiller Maintenance & Chiller Commissioning Work
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot chiller systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding chiller operations and maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and implement effective solutions.
- Educate clients on proper operation and maintenance practices to extend the lifespan of their chiller systems.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports outlining service activities, findings, and recommendations for future improvements.
- Execute commissioning processes for new chiller installations, ensuring systems are installed correctly and functioning as designed.
- Collaborate with MHI agent, customer and contractors to verify system performance and compliance with specifications.
- Foster a collaborative working relationship with contractors, encouraging teamwork and shared problem‑solving.
- Work closely with the contractor to share knowledge, improve processes, and enhance overall service delivery.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing service tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct safety briefings and ensure all parties understand their responsibilities regarding safety.
- May involve working in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings.
- Field‑based role with travel to client sites.
- Available to respond to chiller breakdown calls during assigned standby shifts.
Requirements
- Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Proven experience in chiller maintenance, commissioning, or related HVAC roles (3-5 years)
- Strong technical knowledge of chiller systems, HVAC principles, and electrical controls
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Building Construction Supervisors Safety Courses.
