Community Development Manager

Role: Community Development Manager, Location: Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland, PR25 1DH, Contract: Full time (36.25 hours per week) / Permanent, Salary: 47,181 – 48,226, Closing Date: 28 April 2026.

What you’ll be getting up to

• You will lead a team of officers with experience and disciplines in a number of areas, to support the wide remit of the service.
• Working closely with local elected members as part of the Community Hubs, supporting them to identify and define local priorities and projects.
• Delivering major programmes of activity such as Holiday Activity and Food and Forced Migration.
• Support local community development with the objective to build resilience and sustainability across the varied and vibrant groups across the voluntary sector.

Who we’re looking for

• Ability to manage multiple projects and programmes of work simultaneously.
• Ability to quickly build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders both within and outside the Council.
• Experience and confidence in managing large budgets and complex projects.

Other requirements

• This role requires some travel around our borough. You should have a valid driving licence or the equivalent mobility.
• Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check (applied and paid for by the Council).
