We are seeking an Accountantbased inBanbridge to be part of our growing team. | KEY RESPONSIBILITIES | Management Accounting Prepare monthly management accounts, including full reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts. Monitor, analyse, and report on job and project performance. Responsible for daily bank administration including bank reconciliations, weekly and monthly payment processing and cash flow forecasting Business Partnering Work closely with project managers, providing financial insight and challenge to support operational decision-making. Present financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and accessible manner. Support managers with cost tracking, forecasting and financial queries. Budgeting & Reporting Administer budgets within eVision and prepare supporting Excel-based budget reports. Support long-term financial planning and periodic forecast updates. Prepare and submit government statistical returns. Financial Accounting & Compliance Process month-end journal entries and complete Profit & Loss reconciliations. Prepare VAT, PAYE, RCT and Corporation Tax returns in compliance with Revenue requirements. Prepare VAT, PAYE, CIS and Corporation Tax returns in compliance with HMRC requirements. Support internal and external audits, ensuring strong financial controls and timely responses to audit queries. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislation, and internal policies. Sales Ledger & Income Management Oversee sales invoice processing and income reconciliation. Manage cash collection and maintain effective client communication. Systems, Processes & Continuous Improvement Develop and enhance financial templates using advanced Excel formulae. Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements and automation opportunities. Support financial system upgrades and contribute to ongoing system improvements. Maintain and strengthen internal control processes and financial risk mitigation strategies. General Responsibilities Support tender submissions, contract costings, and financial reviews where required. Provide guidance or mentoring to junior staff (if applicable). Perform any other duties necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role. | QUALIFICATION | Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent). Part-qualified candidates will be considered where extensive relevant experience is demonstrated. | EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE | Essential Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a relevant finance role. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Desirable Experience in working in Construction Sector in Republic of Ireland Experience in working in Holland. | ABILITIES & SKILLS | Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and balance multiple deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Effective communicator with the ability to engage both finance and non-finance colleagues. Positive can-do attitude with a strong work ethic and delivery mindset.
