Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist expertise on domestic violence and abuse (DVA) within the Public Protection Unit (PPU) and the local policing unit (LPU) across Coventry and Solihull police stations, covering Solihull Borough. Support the improvement of police practice by providing tailored guidance, advice, and professional support to officers and staff, strengthening their understanding of safe, trauma‑informed and appropriate interventions with women and children affected by DVA.
- Provide information, support and signposting for women accessing WMP disclosing experiences of domestic violence/abuse.
Experience Required
- Influencing professional practice, including delivering training and awareness sessions.
- Carrying out needs and risk assessments and support of women experiencing abuse.
- Working within safeguarding guidelines to protect and promote the well‑being of children and young people.
- Monitoring and evaluating projects.
