Consultant Forensic Psychiatry Opportunity (Low Secure Unit – Inpatient)

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is offering a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry for our Inpatient Team in Bodmin.

Responsibilities

• Act as Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist for detained male patients on Bowman ward within a multidisciplinary team setting.
• Serve as the Responsible Clinician for the care of 8 inpatients.
• Obtain approval under Section 12(2) and maintain clinical oversight.
• Lead clinical care for 8 male inpatients and serve as access assessor for Cornish patients referred via the CAMBIO bed flow system.
• Provide clinical leadership to the Bowman low secure unit team, Cornwall secure services and represent Clinical Leadership for Cornwall Partnership Trust regionally with the Southwest provider collaborative.
• Participate in the on‑call rota, covering general Consultant Psychiatrist duties.
