The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust Hospital is inviting applicants to apply for a consultant geriatrician post in the Department of Health Services for Elderly People (HSEP) at the Hampstead site.
The successful applicant will join a group of nine dynamic, forward‑looking consultants to deliver high quality care for older patients.
Applicants should have suitable experience in Geriatric Medicine and General Internal Medicine (GIM). On‑call responsibilities include acute geriatric medicine on a 1 in 10 rota. The role also requires teaching and educational supervision of medical students.
The position focuses on delivering a consultant‑led liaison service to frail and complex patients on the HSEP ward and developing the frailty liaison service. Clinical supervision and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels are key aspects of the role.
The appointee will work closely with Acute Medicine colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team.
