Role
Estates Support Manager – 6–12 month FTC
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Location: Colchester, Essex (Office Based)
Your Role
Providing leadership, management and administrative support to the Estates Helpdesk and wider team, ensuring an effective property helpdesk function is provided with the highest standards of customer service.
Overseeing routine and emergency maintenance, repairs and refurbishments, ensuring that work is carried out efficiently and followed through to completion to meet required standards and stay within budget.
Leading the helpdesk team in ensuring effective and responsive support for all major incidents, including coordination of contractors and arrangements for on-site support through SMOs and Work Operatives.
Ensuring that all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) is scheduled with certifications up to date, and tracking the administrative closure of any remedial works are actioned and completed.
Managing the company vehicle fleet, working closely with our Fleet Management Company to ensure vehicles are effectively maintained and that appropriate compliance checks are conducted on all Consensus drivers.
Managing the end‑to‑end process of Environmental/Building, Water and Fire Risk Assessments and ensuring remedial actions identified are shared with appropriate stakeholders and managed through to completion.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Demonstrate proven experience in property management, including managing maintenance, repairs and refurbishment projects
- Set goals and produce plans to ensure targets and objectives are achieved while motivating and guiding teams
- Have strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, including construction and Fire regulations
- Ideally have previous experience using CAFM systems
