Severn Trent Water has a Developer Services business that supports water and wastewater planning for projects.

Lead Project Manager – responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the multi‑million‑pound Developer Services capital programme. You will lead a team of professionals, secure safe and efficient execution of the c£35m per annum capital programme, and work with key internal and external stakeholders and customers to achieve programme delivery, company ODI’s and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake financial management of projects, ensuring accurate and robust forecasting and budgetary allocation.
  • Drive the identification and management of risks that could impact the successful delivery of the capital programme.
  • Ensure compliance with external legislation and statutory obligations (e.g. NRSWA/TMA/Environmental/Planning/Land access).
  • Develop technical and leadership capabilities within the internal team, managing performance and supporting development opportunities for team members.

What you’ll bring to the role

We’ll ideally be looking for a candidate with an Engineering, Construction, Project Management or Environmental discipline degree, or demonstrable project delivery experience. Extensive experience of working on NEC project management frameworks and implementing CDM regulations in project delivery is highly desirable. Excellent customer experience, awareness, and the ability to lead programme teams in delivering high‑risk, high‑complexity, high‑value projects within the Water/Waste engineering sector will be of great benefit.
