The Fostering Service are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated team member to join our busy, fast moving and committed Business Support Team. The role includes providing administrative support to the Mainstream, Kinship Care and Post Order Service Teams.
The successful candidate will be required to contribute to the planning of care arrangements and short break care for children and young people. Day-to-day duties will include liaising with Foster Carers and Professionals to secure care arrangements for children and young people by providing essential, accurate and sensitive information.
As part of the office based Business Support Team you will also be required to undertake administrative support, maintaining records, organising meetings, processing information, note taking, word processing and typing.
Responsibilities
- Plan care arrangements and short break care for children and young people.
- Liaise with Foster Carers and Professionals to secure care arrangements.
- Provide essential, accurate and sensitive information to stakeholders.
- Support the Business Support Care Arrangement team by prioritising workload and meeting tight deadlines.
- Maintain records and organise meetings, processing information, note taking and typing.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Ability to prioritise workload, work to tight deadlines and communicate effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Demonstrated confidence dealing with staff from all levels of the Directorate and partner agencies.
- DBS Check required for the position.
