A leading housebuilder is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Land Manager to support continued growth across the South West, based out of their Bath office.

This is a key role within a high-performing land team, responsible for identifying, securing, and delivering a strong pipeline of residential development opportunities across a varied portfolio.

The Role

You will play a pivotal role in sourcing and acquiring land opportunities, working across a mix of:

• Immediate/short-term sites
• Strategic land opportunities
• Joint ventures and partnership schemes

You’ll be involved throughout the full lifecycle — from initial identification and appraisal through to negotiation, acquisition, and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure land opportunities in line with business strategy
• Appraise sites, including financial viability, planning potential, and risk
• Lead negotiations with landowners, agents, and partners
• Manage and progress strategic land through promotion agreements
• Structure and deliver JV and partnership deals
• Work closely with planning, technical, and commercial teams internally
• Maintain strong relationships across the land market

About You

• Proven experience within a housebuilder environment
• Strong track record of land acquisition across a variety of deal types
• Experience working on immediate, strategic, and JV/partnership sites
• Commercially astute with strong appraisal and negotiation skills
• Well-connected within the regional land and agency network
• Able to operate both strategically and hands-on
