Trading Systems Engineer – Low Latency Infrastructure (London)

A leading global hedge fund is seeking a Trading Systems Engineer to support and evolve high-performance, low-latency trading infrastructure in London.

This role focuses on building and maintaining highly available systems that power real-time market data and execution across asset classes. You’ll work across infrastructure, networking, and cloud environments, partnering closely with global teams in a fast-paced, performance‑critical setting.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support and optimise trading systems and low‑latency infrastructure.
  • Work across Linux, on‑prem, and AWS‑based systems.
  • Build and automate infrastructure using Terraform, Python, and Kubernetes.
  • Improve monitoring, performance, and system reliability.

What You Bring:

  • 8+ years experience supporting trading systems (exchange, fund, asset manager or low‑latency banking environment).
  • Strong Linux and networking knowledge (multicast preferred).
  • Hands‑on with AWS, Python, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Experience in high‑availability, performance‑sensitive environments.
  • Clear communicator with a proactive, ownership‑driven mindset.
