Contract Details

  • Fixed-term until 3rd March 2027 (covering secondment)
  • Salary: £48,691 per annum (London weighted salary) or £42,668 per annum (Regional salary)
  • Grade: 9
  • Reporting Office: London (Stratford) or Manchester (Trafford)
  • Persona: Agile Worker – 20% to 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office (hybrid working)

Job Summary

We are looking for an Analyst to join the Strategic Research team within one of the UK’s largest housing associations. The role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the housing sector, translating policy, societal and economic developments into actionable insights for L&Q and influencing external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Horizon scanning to support the Executive and Group Board in strategy setting
  • Managing responses to consultations and calls for evidence
  • Carrying out housing market monitoring and analysis
  • Impact assessing the effects of any new legal or regulatory changes that affect our housing operations
  • Equipping colleagues to understand and respond to changes in the policy, society and economy
  • Evaluating current and new housing products against housing need in the areas L&Q operates
  • Delivering L&Q’s thought leadership programme
  • Building and maintaining external stakeholder relationships as part of the G15 group, liaising with policy and research leads at peer landlords on consultation responses and influencing pieces

Key Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrable skill or experience in leading research and analysis projects (preferably in a housing context)
  • Strong understanding/knowledge of policy issues affecting the housing sector
  • Very strong written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences
  • Strong evidence of networking, working with and influencing a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders
  • Demonstrable ability to produce written work for senior leaders to tight deadlines
  • Some experience of project management
