Pharmacy Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Operational Manager to provide senior leadership across NHFT pharmacy services, with a key focus on secure and specialist care. This strategic role is responsible for the operational management, governance, workforce leadership and continuous improvement of pharmacy services across multiple sites.
Working closely with the Deputy Chief Pharmacist – Specialist and Secured and the Governance and Assurance Pharmacist, you will act as the professional and operational lead for pharmacy technicians, ensuring services are safe, compliant, efficient and responsive to patient and service needs.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for pharmacy services
- Lead medicines governance, risk management, audits and compliance
- Manage pharmacy workforce planning, recruitment, performance and development
- Oversee medicines distribution, stock control and Controlled Drugs governance
- Support service redesign, transformation and Quality Improvement initiatives
- Monitor medicines usage and expenditure, identifying efficiencies
- Represent pharmacy services at Trust-wide and external forums

Qualifications
- Formal management training or equivalent experience
- Advanced technical/ACT qualification (Desirable)
