Position

Applications are welcomed for the following post: REACH Re-integration Officer REACH Hub. Grade 6 (SCP 22-25) £33,699 - £36,363 pro rata to weeks worked. Full time – Term time plus three weeks. Required for September 2026.

Role purpose

Our REACH Hub Provision will deliver high quality, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences that enable every learner to make outstanding academic and personal progress. We are seeking to appoint a Re-integration Officer who is a dynamic, visionary practitioner to deliver high quality SEND/SEMH Behaviour within our REACH Hub Provision. The officer will work collaboratively with Sunderland schools, academies, and the REACH hub team to support the successful reintegration of learners with identified behavioral, social, or emotional needs.

Responsibilities

• As part of the REACH Hub team, focus on reducing barriers to learning by delivering targeted interventions, offering personalised behaviour support, and strengthening relationships between pupils, families, and education providers.
• Deliver high quality SEND/SEMH Behaviour support within the REACH Hub Provision.
• Work collaboratively with Sunderland schools, academies, and the REACH hub team to support successful reintegration of learners with identified behavioural, social, or emotional needs.
• Engage with learners to help them regain confidence and rediscover a love of learning.
• Contribute to a team environment where colleagues support each other, including mainstream and Alternative Provision settings.

• Ability to work effectively with learners who are difficult or challenging and to draw the best from them.
• Dynamic, proactive practitioner with commitment to inclusive education and wellbeing.
