Job Overview
The MindMate Support Team (MMST) is looking for multiple registered health professionals to join our expanding service. We are seeking dynamic individuals who enjoy multisystemic working and can engage across the service. MMST offers early intervention mental health support to children, young people and their families within schools, colleges, and education provisions across Leeds.
Key Responsibilities
- Work autonomously and hold a complex caseload of children and young people with varying levels of risk.
- Provide consultation, training, advice, and support to staff in education settings as part of the Whole Setting Approach.
- Offer high quality early direct intervention support to young people and their families experiencing mild to moderate emotional wellbeing difficulties.
- Support and supervise colleagues within the teams.
- Make decisions regarding referrals and liaise with other services.
- Work with multiple services on various sites across the city; liaise with staff; help develop pathways and partnership working.
- Provide dynamic flexible support which is needs‑led to all areas of the city.
Typical Day
- Offer direct work with young people and families across the city – may include extended consultations / Liaison Intervention (LI) – CBT based intervention / signposting support.
- Provide indirect support – whole setting approach activities such as assemblies, YP workshops, education staff training, providing ad‑hoc supervision on a rota basis.
- Education setting liaison – staff consultations, completing regular audits of whole school approach work.
- Offer formal supervision to colleagues.
- Regular support rota duties.
- Service development opportunities – practitioner meetings, clinical governance, team meetings, leading working groups.
- Manage own diary, including travel to schools and hybrid team meetings.
Qualifications
Registered health professionals with at least 18 months post‑qualifying experience working with children and young people with emotional and mental health difficulties.

This role is based in the UK. Employment is conditional on confirmation of the right to work in the UK – either as a UK or Irish citizen, under the EU settlement scheme or having secured any other relevant work visa.
