About the Role
A well-established and reputable construction contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Estimator to join their growing pre‑construction team in Maidstone. This is a key role within the business, responsible for leading and preparing competitive tenders across a varied portfolio including commercial, residential, and heritage projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate cost estimates from first principles
- Leading tender submissions from enquiry through to final submission
- Analysing drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Managing subcontractor and supplier enquiries
- Value engineering to ensure competitive and practical solutions
- Collaborating with commercial and operational teams
- Attending pre‑ and post‑tender meetings
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in construction
- Strong understanding of building methods and materials
- Experience pricing a range of projects (commercial, residential, refurbishment)
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines
- Relevant qualification (desirable but not essential with experience)
