We’re seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Ligentia’s technology platforms.

Reporting to the Head of Quality Engineering & RPA, you will lead client testing projects independently, drive quality standards, and mentor Quality Engineers across our UK and Poland locations.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and shape the Quality Engineering strategy, establishing high standards and best practices across the organisation.
  • Team Mentorship: Support and mentor Quality Engineers across the UK and Poland, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Project Ownership: Lead client testing projects independently, managing resource allocation and workload planning for concurrent releases.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary quality contact for Product Owners, Developers and stakeholders to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Automation & Innovation: Shape the automation strategy and process improvements alongside the wider Technology and RPA functions.
  • Risk & Reporting: Champion a “quality-first” mindset by reporting on key metrics and proactively identifying or escalating risks to senior leadership.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Substantial experience in quality engineering or software testing.
  • Experience in a Senior QE or equivalent role.
  • Proven experience working effectively within Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.
  • Hands‑on experience with test automation tools and frameworks, specifically Selenium and/or Playwright.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps for test planning, project tracking, and work item management.
  • A track record of delivering high‑quality testing across complex, multi‑stream projects and managing stakeholder expectations.

Desirable Requirements

  • ISTQB or equivalent Agile/testing certifications.
  • Experience with CargoWise.
  • Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry.
