Electrical Supervisor – AVRS

We currently have two opportunities to join our team at AVRS:

  • Thames & Anglian Water region (travel across both regions required)
  • North East England (travel across multiple sites within the region)

Both roles involve site-based work, travel, and contributing to high‑quality projects across their respective regions.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Supervisor to join AVRS, part of the Galliford Try group. Following several long‑term framework awards, we are looking for ambitious individuals with a strong industrial background to support long‑term projects within the Water Treatment Sector.

Projects range from £5k to £10m, where we act as Principal Contractor and Principal Designer, as well as supporting Tier 1 contractor clients. This is a permanent position, offering stability and growth within a thriving team.

Competitive hourly rates. Contracted hours: 42 per week (Monday–Friday). Paid travel time in addition to contracted hours.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising a team of electricians to ensure the scope of works is safely completed to a high standard in line with the programme.
  • Responsible for the completion of electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and AVRS Electrical safety rules.
  • Engaging with AVRS design team and Compliance Manager to ensure works comply with BS7671 and client specifications.
  • Engaging with AVRS’s positive safety culture.
  • Ensuring that all Health and Safety legislation and regulations are adhered to and promote a positive culture.
  • Ensuring that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the contract and the Project quality plan.
  • Coaching and mentoring Electrical Improvers and Apprentices.
  • Collaborating effectively within a growing team.

Qualifications

  • SSSTS or equivalent
  • ECS gold card
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Emergency First Aid or First Aider certification
  • Experience as an Electrical Supervisor
  • Ability to manage own workload and project tasks with minimal supervision
  • EUSR Water Hygiene
  • 2391 Test and Inspection
  • COMPEX
  • PASMA / IPAF / Confined Space certification
