Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, the Planned Preventative Maintenance Engineer will undertake planned maintenance activities on a wide range of Fire Systems assets mainly in the Trackside environment. You will work Nights Sun to Thurs 10pm to 6am, as part of a team and completing tasks individually as required. Safety is paramount and a full driver’s licence is mandatory due to the heavy travel between stations. This role offers an opportunity for an Electrician to apply their electrical knowledge in a new sector of Fire Systems.
Key Deliverables
- Completing preventative maintenance tasks on a daily basis for fire systems within Rail – Working the Night Shift
- Assisting the delivery of daily tasks in line with business expectations
- Working as part of a team and independently where needed
- Maintaining Health and Safety awareness and practice
- Reporting progress to the site person in charge regularly
- Utilising the ServiceNow platform to complete visit reports
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate site reports on completed activities to either the site SPC or line manager
- Carry out maintenance against the defined schedule
- Ensure maintenance is completed to required standard and report any issues
- Complete any administration tasks in a timely manner
- Comply with relevant QEHS requirements
- Comply with the Drug & Alcohol policy
Qualifications / Skill Requirements
- Knowledge of required system maintenance procedures relating to the specific contract you are aligned to – Fire Systems within Rail or an Electrician keen to gain experience in the Fire Systems sector
- Previous working knowledge of appropriate Fire Systems is ideal but not necessary
- Previous experience working within the LUL or Rail environment
- Must have a driving licence
- Will take part in a drug and alcohol test as required for trackside work
