As Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work across the full product lifecycle, contributing to innovative, production-ready solutions within a fast-moving and technically demanding environment.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will:
- Design mechanical components and assemblies for electrified vehicle platforms.
- Create and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, DFMEAs, and DVP&R documentation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure designs meet functional and performance requirements.
- Develop designs with consideration for manufacturability, cost, weight, and sustainability.
- Manage multiple workstreams and delivering engineering tasks to agreed project timelines.
- Perform design optimisation and validation activities using CAE tools such as FEA and CFD.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will have:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in mechanical design within automotive or similar engineering sectors.
- Strong proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or equivalent.
- Experience designing structural components including brackets, housings, mounts, or similar parts.
- Exposure to CAE tools (FEA and/or CFD) for design validation and optimisation.
- Strong problem-solving ability, communication skills, and a collaborative team-focused mindset.
You’ll be involved in solving real engineering problems that directly influence how electrified vehicle systems are designed, built, and delivered into production.
