We're hiring for a Trainee Service & Commissioning Engineer to join a specialist engineering business, offering full training, hands‑on experience, and the opportunity to build a long‑term career in a highly specialised field.
In this role, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on‑site, learning how to service, test, and commission critical air systems used in a range of environments.
What's on offer?
- £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Company van (personal use available) + fuel covered
- Overtime available (1.5× Saturdays, 2× Sundays)

What will you be doing?
- Working alongside engineers to carry out service and commissioning tasks
- Assisting with testing and validation of specialist air systems
- Learning to use equipment to measure airflow, pressure, and system performance
- Supporting maintenance and fault‑finding on mechanical systems
- Completing job reports and documentation
- Travelling to sites across the UK (with occasional overnight stays)
- Following health & safety procedures on‑site
What will you need?
- Background in mechanical, electrical, or hands‑on engineering work OR experience in a trade, construction, or technical role
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel and stay away (1‑2 nights per week)
- Practical, hands‑on mindset and willingness to learn
