Civil Design Engineer

We are working with a well-established water contractor who is seeking a Civil Design Engineer with approximately 5 years' experience to support the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on essential utility upgrades and new infrastructure schemes within a growing design team.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce civil engineering designs for water and wastewater projects
- Prepare drawings, reports, and technical documentation
- Support design development from concept through to detailed design
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (MEICA, electrical, project delivery)
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and regulations (e.g. UK water industry standards)
- Support site investigations and respond to technical queries during construction
Requirements
- Around 5 years' experience in civil design, ideally within water/wastewater or utilities
- Strong experience in infrastructure or civil engineering design delivery
- Proficient with design tools such as AutoCAD (Civil 3D advantageous)
- Understanding of UK water sector standards and processes
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
