Maintenance Engineer position in Bilston, West Midlands. Hourly pay up to £17.70 per hour. Works Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (38 hours per week).
General Role: We are recruiting on behalf of a client in the Bilston area. This role is responsible for managing engineering resources on a daily basis to ensure all production functions operate efficiently, maximising uptime and meeting customer requirements. You will also repair buildings and non-production equipment, organise contractor work, and support company objectives while maintaining compliance with quality, environmental, and health & safety standards.

- Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with CNC and PLC machinery, rotary flatbed die‑cutting presses, horizontal splitting machines, and slitter/rewind lamination
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and implement Preventive and Autonomous Maintenance
- Provide engineering support across group companies when required
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Identify and report issues or unsafe practices promptlyMinimise production costs and waste
- Evaluate equipment performance and implement improvements
- Recommend and support process improvements
- Manage external contractors and service providers
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in line with company standards
- Manage spare parts planning and inventory
- Ensure machinery and site services operate safely at all times
Learning & Development
- Attend training sessions to support development
- Participate in regular reviews with management
Additional Duties
- Carry out any other duties as required
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
- Maintain and manage the company maintenance vehicle
