Role
As an Engineering Manager, you play a pivotal role in shaping engineering solutions that secure and deliver major programmes in the nuclear sector. This is a full‑time position with flexible patterns and can be based at any of our main locations.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering inputs for bids and live projects, ensuring safe, compliant and timely delivery.
- Coordinate engineering scope, schedules, governance activities and resource planning.
- Shape engineering solutions that are competitive, robust and aligned to customer requirements.
- Manage engineering risks, safety considerations and verification and validation plans.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, partners and customers to ensure clear communication and technical alignment.
Essential experience
- Experience working within a highly regulated industry such as nuclear, chemical, defence or aerospace.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively across diverse technical disciplines.
- Strong commercial and business awareness in a technical environment.
- Bids experience is not essential – training will be provided.
Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent) with significant demonstrable experience.
- Chartered Engineer status, or actively working towards it.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
