Are you an experienced leader in early help and family support services, looking for an exciting opportunity to manage the newly established Family Wellbeing Hub at West Berkshire Council? We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our Children and Family Services team as the Family Wellbeing Hub Manager, reporting to the Early Help and Family Hub Team Manager.

The Role

As the Family Wellbeing Hub Manager, you will play a crucial role in the successful operation and management of the Family Wellbeing Hub, which is being delivered in partnership with the newly formed Family Hub at the interface of the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme. You will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the Family Wellbeing Hub, ensuring the effective delivery of services to children and families.
  • Overseeing a team of dedicated professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high‑quality early help and family support interventions.
  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders and partners to ensure integrated service delivery and positive outcomes for children and families.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the impact of services, implementing improvements based on feedback and data analysis.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Extensive experience in managing and delivering early help and family support services, ideally within a local authority setting.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership working skills.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in early help and family support.
  • Data‑driven approach to service improvement, with experience in monitoring and evaluating outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing competing priorities and deadlines.
