This role is to work within a busy and dynamic administrative team within the Aintree theatre department. Aintree has 4 different theatre and surgical forward wait areas with specialities including ENT, Maxilo‑facial, trauma, general surgery and vascular.
You will be assigned to a specific theatre area as your home base but the team works dynamically across all theatre areas, cross‑covering each other as a cohesive team and working in theatres and surgical forward wait. This is a busy and interesting role with lots of opportunities to learn with a full training package put in place for all successful candidates.
Responsibilities
- The post holder will carry out the duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation of systems for general and personnel administration within the department.
- The post holder will be responsible for the organisation of his / her work and time and coordinating his/her activities in order to meet the demands of the Theatre areas.
- It is essential that the post holder exercises initiative commensurate with the role and keeps confidentiality maintained at all times when dealing with patient information.
- To undertake the duties of the post, it is essential that the post-holder possess a knowledge of a range of clerical procedures, software use and programmes.
- Data inputting, investigating and correcting anomalies.
- Run logs and standard reports.
- Run directorate reports and executive reports for use in the performance review system.
- Give direction and advice to staff and others in the use of the IT system.
- Provide general office support for the directorate.
- Liaise with other departments across the Trust.
- Liaise with the information department in the development of reports.
- Reception duties as required including greeting visitors, answering phone calls and dealing with general enquiries.
