Profiles Creative is partnering with a leading events and experience agency to find an exceptional Account Director to lead key client relationships and deliver high-impact B2B event programmes. This is a senior role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategic thinking and hands‑on delivery, someone who can confidently steer complex projects while unlocking growth opportunities within established accounts.
The Role
As Account Director, you’ll take ownership of key client relationships, leading the delivery of innovative, insight‑driven events and experiences from brief through to execution. You’ll work closely with internal teams across strategy, creative, production, and content to ensure every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to an exceptional standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior point of contact for key clients, building long‑term, trusted relationships
- Develop strategic account plans that drive profitability and growth
- Lead senior stakeholder conversations and influence decision‑making
- Identify and convert organic growth opportunities within existing accounts
- Oversee full end‑to‑end delivery of complex B2B events and programmes
- Manage timelines, workflows, and cross‑functional teams
- Ensure seamless coordination across creative, content, production, and digital
- Lead projects on site where required, ensuring exceptional execution
- Own and manage project budgets with a strong focus on margin delivery
- Oversee forecasting, reporting, and reconciliation processes
- Ensure cost‑efficiency while maintaining high‑quality outputs
- Collaborate with creative and content teams to shape compelling event narratives
- Push boundaries with innovative ideas, formats, and technologies
- Inspire clients and teams with fresh, forward‑thinking approaches
- Work closely with production teams to deliver technically sound, high‑quality events
- Manage suppliers, freelancers, and partners to ensure best‑in‑class execution
- Support new business pitches, proposals, and presentations
- Represent the agency at industry events and networking opportunities
- Contribute to thought leadership and marketing initiatives
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in an agency environment (events, experiential, integrated)
- Proven track record managing complex, multi‑stream projects
- Strong commercial acumen with experience owning budgets and delivering margins
- Exceptional client management skills with experience influencing senior stakeholders
- Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and calm under pressure
- A collaborative, proactive mindset with a passion for delivering standout work
- Experience managing suppliers and production partners (broadcast a bonus)
- Flexible and willing to travel as required
This would suit an AD with 1+ years experience working in the experiential agency space, you’ll already have experience in B2B events and are happy specialising and hitting the ground running when it comes to the corporate events world.
