Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our Client are a hotel and high end residential specialist fit out contractor and have secured a £10million hotel fit out project and are looking for a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to come in and take the lead on the project commercially.

This is a key role, responsible for managing costs, contracts, and commercial performance from pre-construction through to project completion.

You will work closely with the project team, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of the refurbishment project
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
• Conduct valuations, variations, and cost reporting
• Monitor project expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Negotiate contracts and manage subcontractor accounts
• Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements
• Provide accurate financial reporting to senior management
• Support risk management and value engineering initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally on hotel or large-scale refurbishment projects
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost control processes
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines effectively
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
