  • Lead and motivate the Commercial Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU) team to ensure operational efficiency and high-quality customer service.

  • Manage workforce planning to meet fleet demands and optimise workshop productivity

  • Control labour costs, including dealings with third‑party service providers

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards through regular safety audits

  • Plan and oversee the maintenance of workshop facilities, diagnostic tools, and equipment

  • Prepare budgets, investment plans, and monitor performance metrics within the workshop

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase workshop efficiency and profitability

  • Recruit, induct, and develop team members to sustain a motivated and skilled workforce

  • Review and adjust pricing strategies to maintain competitive workshop services

  • Uphold high standards of health and safety across all operational activities


Requirements as a Commercial Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU) Manager role:



  • Proven experience as a Service Manager or Commercial Service Manager within the automotive industry

  • Demonstrable leadership and team management capabilities
