Engineer Shift Leader

Location: StaffordSalary: Circa £55,000Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off, 12‑hour shifts (rotating days and nights to support a 24/7 operation)

We’re looking for an experienced engineering professional with a passion for leadership and innovation to join our dynamic team at our Stafford site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Engineering Technicians and Assistants.
• Manage and execute the Pre‑Planned Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
• Oversee spare parts inventory and procurement.
• Maintain and optimise the Fix System for issue resolution.
• Design, develop, and deploy engineering solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver projects.
• Drive continuous improvement and system performance enhancements.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Civil, or similar).
• 7+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong problem‑solving and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in engineering tools and methodologies.

Desirable

• Experience in retail or fulfilment environments.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with system architecture and scalability.
