As a Regional Operations Manager covering Midlands/ Wales, reporting into the Regional Director, you will assist across the region with the delivery of exceptional customer service. You will also have responsibility for overseeing large scale traffic management schemes and projects, assisting the Service Centres with the planning and delivery.
You will be responsible for:
- Through coaching and diligent support, ensuring that the business achieves or exceeds its agreed service levels and other agreed targets. Supporting the strategic growth objectives of the business be that through core products or new business opportunities
- Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships between the depot, operations, and business development teams
- Ensuring that compliance and health and safety are of paramount importance and that all necessary audits are carried out in a timely manner.
- Taking a lead on the implementation and management of all Performance Standards requirements at the depots
- Supporting with the design and implementation large scale traffic management schemes and events
- Assisting the Regional Director with day to day running of the region
- Point of contact for customer escalations
- Attend review meetings with customers and account manager.

Qualifications
To be considered for the Regional Operations Manager role, we’re looking for someone who has previous experience in an similar operations/branch management role and can bring the following skill‑set:
- Strong leadership, team development and people management skills
- Thorough knowledge of Traffic Management policy and procedures
- Understanding of customer KPI and expectations with a proven record of hitting financial targets
- Strong logistical background and asset control experience with a thorough understanding of transport policy and procedure including WTD
- Experience in resource planning and colleague engagement skills to ensure strong levels of productivity
- Experience of managing multi shift work patterns
- Lantra 12d T6 qualification (internal training available)
- Able to work under pressure and on own initiative
- Good communication skills at all levels
- Flexible and able to quickly change priorities depending on business requirements
- Methodical approach to problem solving with an eye for detail
- Computer literate. A working knowledge of Microsoft products
