About the Role

We’re looking for a Learning & Development (L&D) Design Assistant to join our Talent & Culture Team at the East of England Co-op. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys blending creativity with data and systems and wants to build a career in learning and development.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping how learning is delivered across our organisation. From managing and optimising our Learning Management System (LMS), to supporting the creation of engaging digital content and analysing learner data, you’ll help drive a modern, accessible, and performance-focused learning culture.
Based at Wherstead Park, Ipswich (with hybrid working available), you’ll collaborate with colleagues across the business, gaining exposure to both digital learning design and face-to-face delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage the day-to-day administration of our LMS, including course uploads, user management, and troubleshooting
- Monitor system performance and work with technical teams to ensure a smooth learner experience
- Produce reports and insights on learner engagement, performance, and training effectiveness
- Use data to support continuous improvement of learning solutions
- Support the design and creation of digital learning content using tools such as Articulate Rise, Adobe Creative Cloud, and AI tools
- Maintain an engaging, accessible, and up-to-date course catalogue
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve learning content
- Champion an inclusive and modern learning experience across the organisation
- Support the delivery of face-to-face training sessions, building confidence in facilitation and presentation
What You’ll Need

- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Digital confidence and willingness to learn new systems and tools
- An analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and generate insights
- Clear communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders
- A collaborative approach and willingness to work cross-functionally
- Commitment to continuous learning and self-development
Desirable
- Experience using an LMS (e.g. Cornerstone or similar)
- Exposure to digital content creation tools (e.g. Articulate, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Understanding of adult learning principles or user-centred design
- Experience using data to inform improvements
- Familiarity with video or AI-based content creation tools
