- To provide first line generalist HR advice and support on terms and conditions of employment and HR policies and procedures, with a view to resolving matters efficiently and effectively.
- Provide advice and guidance on employee relation issues to team leaders, supervisors and managers across the business.
- Provide advice and guidance on occupational health referrals, absence management issues and return to work cases to team leaders, supervisors and managers across the business.
- Provide advice and guidance on job descriptions, recruitment, induction, restructuring and redeployment processes, advising on best practice.
- Arrange and attend informal/formal meetings and hearings with the department heads, ensuring all processes are followed and that all paperwork work is accurate.
- To support the business with admin support on organisational change including; restructures/redundancy/redeployment activity within departments as required.
- To contribute to the review and development of HR policies and procedures in accordance with the legal framework of employment legislation.
- Monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with the current legislation
- Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations
- Handling HR matters reliably and in accordance with legal requirements
- Supporting the HR Director with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary
- Responsible for administering disciplinary, grievance and termination procedures, advising management where necessary to ensure all cases are handled in accordance with company policy and current legislation.
- Partnering with line managers to review employee relations, performance management, resourcing and staff management
- Ensure ADP is kept up to date
- Conduct exit interviews for any positions, if needed.
- Complete project work or ad hoc requests as they arise
