We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager to lead and expand our presence in the UK FMCG sector, with a particular focus on tomato paste and its derivatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of multi-cultural consumer markets in the UK, including Middle Eastern, international, and mainstream British retail channels. You will play a key role in shaping our sales strategy, pricing structure, and overall market positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute effective sales and pricing strategies tailored to diverse UK market segments
- Identify and penetrate key distribution channels, including ethnic markets, wholesalers, and major retailers
- Build, recruit, and manage a high-performing sales team
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with buyers, distributors, and retail partners
- Conduct regular field visits to stores, clients, and distribution points to monitor performance and identify growth opportunities
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to drive business growth
Requirements:
- Proven experience in FMCG sales, ideally within food products such as tomato paste or similar categories
- Strong knowledge of the UK retail landscape, including ethnic and mainstream markets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop pricing strategies and sales plans
- Experience in building and leading sales teams
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
Working Structure:
- Primarily remote (work from home)
- Weekly in-person meetings (location to be agreed)
