The Role

We are looking for a Production Operator to join our operations team at our Haddington site. This is a hands‑on, process‑driven role working in a continuous production environment.

You’ll be responsible for safely operating plant and equipment, monitoring process parameters, responding to deviations, and ensuring product is produced to specification at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment in line with SOPs and process specifications
  • Monitor and control key parameters
  • Respond effectively to alarms, deviations, and abnormal conditions
  • Complete accurate production, quality, and safety records
  • Carry out cleaning, hygiene, and CIP activities
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping
  • Communicate clearly during shift handovers
  • Escalate issues appropriately to supervisors, control room, or QA
  • Support continuous improvement and site standards

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or process environment
  • Strong safety awareness and disciplined approach to procedures
  • Ability to follow instructions and work to specification
  • Comfortable with shift work and lone working
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in malting, brewing, distilling, or food manufacturing
  • Understanding of quality systems (HACCP, food safety)
  • Experience with automated or semi‑automated plant
  • Forklift licence or willingness to train
