Corporate Credit Analyst (Associate Director)

I am seeking a Senior Corporate Credit Analyst to join my client, a leading global bank who are rapidly expanding their Corporate Lending team in London. The team manages Wholesale Corporate Client relationships across the UK, providing tailored financing solutions to businesses operating in various sectors:

• Food & Agriculture
• Energy Transition
• Tech and Digital
• Construction

They offer a broad range of products including Corporate Lending, Leveraged Lending, Value Chain Finance, and Derivatives.

About the Role

In this role, you will support the team by evaluating the credit risk of new transactions and actively monitoring the ongoing risk profile of the existing portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Assess credit risk and help structure credit solutions, including financial modelling, rating assessments, return analysis, and evaluation of business plans.
• Manage assigned client portfolios through annual reviews, covenant tracking, periodic financial analysis, and early identification of risk signals.
• Conduct detailed analysis of deal structures, financial statements, forecasts, management quality, and sector conditions.
• Produce high-quality credit papers and respond to queries from Senior Risk Officers and approval authorities.
• Support origination activity through research on prospective clients and close collaboration with Relationship Managers, Product Specialists, and Risk colleagues.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing by providing coaching, technical support, and in-depth sector or client analysis.
• Effectively prioritise workloads to meet review timelines, approval deadlines, and broader portfolio requirements.

Qualifications

Strong numerical and analytical capabilities.

Required Skills

• Proven ability to interpret financial statements and build/assess financial models and projections.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex credit concepts.
• Strong understanding of credit analysis principles and key structural protections.
• Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of credit files and delivering high-quality credit assessments.
