About the Role:

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth across Northwest Europe by selling laboratory automation equipment and integrated solutions to pharma, CRO, CDMO and biotech organizations.

You will play a key role in building strong client relationships, and contributing to the company’s strategic growth.

This is NOT a clinical diagnostics (IVD), medical devices, pharmaceutical product sales, bioprocess/manufacturing, or marketing-led business development role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development and revenue growth by presenting Galatek’s integrated solutions to new and existing clients across Northwest Europe.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, leveraging networks and sales tools to expand the client base.
  • Collaborate closely with Field Application, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure customer needs and expectations are met.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop strategies that attract and retain clients, increase brand awareness, and generate revenue.
  • Represent Galatek at key conferences and industry events to enhance visibility and strengthen networks.
  • Mentor junior Business Development and Sales Managers, sharing practices and supporting professional growth.
  • Provide insights and feedback to the Management level to optimize processes and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Contribute to overall sales objectives and consistently achieve revenue targets.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of proven experience selling lab automation, integrated solutions, or high-throughput assays to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or CDMO companies in Northwest Europe.
  • Strong understanding of high-throughput drug discovery platforms and integrated solutions in industrial applications.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and client engagements simultaneously.
  • Master’s degree or higher in Life Sciences (Immuno-Oncology, Cancer Research, Infectious Diseases, or CNS preferred). PhD is a strong advantage.
  • Professional-level English & Chinese proficiency is required.
