Transport ManagerWorking pattern Monday–Friday (45 hours per week)£50,000 – £60,000 (doe)Location: Slough Overview Our client is a dynamic, fast-moving logistics specialist, and they’re looking for an experienced Transport Manager to take the reins of their high-spec, temperature-controlled fleet across the UK and Europe. This is a key role, driving the safe, compliant, and efficient movement of time-critical cargo—think fresh flowers, perishable produce, and high-value pharmaceuticals. Operating 24/7, 365 days a year, their fleet of around 50 vehicles (mostly articulated lorries) is purpose-built for handling aircraft pallets (PMCs). A large part of the operation focuses on airfreight collections from UK and European airports for rapid distribution across the UK. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment and enjoy leading a top-performing transport operation, this is an opportunity to make a real impactAs Transport Manager, you’ll be the go-to person for keeping the fleet running safely and efficiently. fleet compliance across Operator Licence, DVSA and regulatory standardsmaintenance planning to maximise fleet uptimeOverseeing tachograph data, WTD reporting and driver complianceDriving high standards in defect reporting and fleet safetySupporting and developing driver performanceEnsuring all licences, CPCs and records are accurate and up to dateManaging vehicle issues quickly to minimise operational disruptionHandling H&S matters, incidents and accident investigationsWorking closely with suppliers to manage costs and performanceSupporting driver recruitment and onboardingIdentifying and implementing operational improvementsActing as a subject matter expert on transport legislation and best practiceYour experience Demonstrable experience within HGV transport operationsCPC qualified (held for at least 5 years)Strong working knowledge of UK & EU transport regulationsExperience within airfreight and/or European logisticsA collaborative, hands-on approachClass 1 licence (desirable)Solid understanding of trucks and trailersFull UK driving licence If you have the skill and experience required for this opportunity – submit your CV for immediate review….
