The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will be a strategic, commercially minded leader with deep expertise in asset management, particularly across land and property portfolios. They should be a Chartered Surveyor (RICS) or hold an equivalent professional qualification, with extensive experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams within large, complex organisations.

Desired Skills and Experience

Strategic Asset Management: Proven ability to lead large-scale land and property portfolios, including acquisitions, disposals, and commercial leases.

Leadership & Team Development: Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, fostering professionalism, accountability, and innovation.

Financial Acumen: Skilled in capital planning, income generation, and delivering value-for-money outcomes across complex budgets.

Governance & Compliance: Strong understanding of public sector governance, legal frameworks, and health & safety responsibilities.

Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a track record of building trust across senior leadership, elected members, and external partners.

Professional Credentials: Chartered Surveyor (RICS) or equivalent qualification, with deep knowledge of asset valuation and lifecycle management.
