Senior Civil Design Engineer

Elvet Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Senior / Principal Design Engineer on behalf of a civil engineering main contractor.

This reputable Water / Utilities contractor is growing and needs a Senior Engineer to supplement its in‑house design team. Projects include Storm Tanks, Combined Sewer Overflows, Water Treatment Works, and other water infrastructure and non‑infrastructure projects under the Yorkshire Water framework.

Responsibilities

• Managing detailed design on projects – waste water and clean water
• Coordination of internal & external activities to client spec & standards
• Prepare and develop design solutions at all stages of projects
• Promote & develop technical capability of team members
• Liaison with senior management, client and stakeholders
• Managing resolution of technical issues on site, providing team guidance

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Senior Civil Engineer for a civil engineering contractor delivering heavy civils
• Knowledge of waste water design – both infra and non‑infra
• Qualified Engineer, ideally chartered
• Essential understanding of industry standards CIWEM & CESWI

Pay & Working Arrangement

Pay up to £410 per day. The role is based out of an office in Wakefield with hybrid working on offer. This is a temporary position.
