Overview

Come and join us as a focused and results driven Health and Safety Business Partner and be part of a hugely successful and friendly team.

As a Health & Safety Business Partner, you’ll be responsible for supporting our Regional management team across the South to create and deliver Safe strategies to improve safety, health, and well-being across the business.

You’ll provide a clear understanding of our Key Safe issues for our branch network and develop a “stay safe” culture across our businesses, embedding our behaviour of ‘Make it Safe For Everyone’.

This is a remote-based Regional role, however you need to be based in the Southern Region.

You’ll live and breathe our customer-first ethos, with a creative and proactive approach. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with the wider team and you’ll be committed to acting with integrity and honesty in everything you do.

Responsibilities

  • Be a visible presence for the business promoting a stay safe culture
  • Carry out on-site Safety assurance checks across the South whilst providing face to face coaching on safety leadership
  • Advise senior stakeholders within the business in every aspect of Health & Safety – these areas include business operations, leadership behaviours, accident investigation, risk management, preventative actions & stay safe committees
  • Deliver a variety of health & safety training
  • Use performance measures to identify trends to improve health, safety & well-being
  • Work alongside the Head of Health & Safety to develop the safety strategy and annual delivery plan

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent or working towards it
  • Experience of working in a Health & Safety role where you have experienced safety culture and behavioural change programs
  • Excellent communications skills in order to train and inform
  • Full legal & technical understanding of Health & Safety procedures
  • Continuous improvement approach
  • Be able to work remotely whilst engaging with the wider team and business networks

It is likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Health & Safety Business Partner, Health & Safety Manager, H&S Coordinator, Regional H&S Manager, Senior H&S Manager, Environmental Health & Safety Manager – Retail, Manufacturing, Building Products, FMCG.
