This role involves carrying out repairs and planned preventative maintenance of fire and security equipment across Asda sites.

Key Accountabilities

• Undertake maintenance and repairs in accordance with KPIs set by the customer including response, repair, first fix, and closure.
• Ensure all planned, reactive and statutory works designated to a CCTV engineer are carried out in accordance with contractual obligations as set out in the City FM Bookcase.
• Complete the PPM works within agreed timescales and complete all necessary paperwork accurately according to laid-down procedures and satisfactory standards.
• Respond promptly to service call requests from the Helpdesk during normal hours and when on call; out of hours will be referred to the specialist in the first instance.
• Identify non‑repairable faults in equipment and propose corrective course of action.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Essential

• GCSE standard
• Electrical Competency Qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds)
• CCTV IP/analogue systems
• Fire alarm systems

Desirable

• IPAF licence holder (training will be provided)

The ideal candidate

• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Communication skills (written and verbal)
• Full driving licence
• Ability to distinguish colours to the standard required for maintenance and repair of electrical/electronic equipment and appliances
