Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a secondment/fixed‑term Clinical Lead position on ward 7R (Sandbanks Ward) for a senior cancer nurse with strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the existing team of nurses to deliver high quality, patient‑focused care.
• Maintain high standards, including risk and governance, and monitor compliance with those standards.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills to influence and motivate the multidisciplinary team.
• Show enthusiasm for stroke speciality and service development.
• Provide expert clinical knowledge, high‑quality care and psychological support to patients and their families.
• Work closely with matrons, consultants, doctors, therapists, senior management and MDT members to deliver gold‑standard care.

Qualifications and Experience

• Senior cancer nurse with proven experience in cancer care, ideally in a clinical lead or similar role.• Demonstrated leadership and management abilities and excellent communication skills.
