Corporate Associate (1+ PQE)

Manchester or Birmingham | Hybrid Working | £60,000 – £72,000 DOE

One of our top national law firm clients is seeking a Corporate Associate with 1+ PQE to join its growing Corporate team, based in either Manchester or Birmingham.

Our client is known for its strong sector focus, high- quality work and commitment to social and environmental impact. The firm advises clients delivering commercially astute and pragmatic advice across a wide range of sectors.

Excellent variety of M&A and Private Equity work

You will work within a collaborative corporate team advising clients on a broad range of transactional matters, with exposure to high- quality work across multiple sectors.

The role will include:

  • Advising on corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity transactions
  • Supporting on larger corporate deals including cross- border work
  • Drafting and reviewing key corporate documentation such as articles of association, shareholders’ agreements and SPAs
  • Managing matters efficiently in line with client expectations and agreed timetables
  • Working closely with colleagues and partners on complex transactions
  • Developing technical and commercial expertise through training and supervision
  • Building strong relationships with clients and intermediaries

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the wider development of the corporate practice, including:

  • Assisting with seminars and client presentations
  • Preparing briefings and articles on topical issues
  • Participating in business development, marketing and tender activity

Who we are looking for

Applications are welcomed from solicitors with 1+ years’ PQE in corporate law who can demonstrate:

  • A solid grounding in corporate transactional work
  • Strong drafting skills and the ability to deliver clear, commercial advice
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
  • A collaborative approach and strong communication skills
  • Enthusiasm, ambition and a desire to develop a long- term career within a supportive team
