Senior Development Engineer

About The Role

Bespak are looking for a Senior Development Engineer (Nasal – SMI) for the Kings Lynn site, PE30 2JJ.

The salary range for this permanent role is between £55k and £62k plus a discretionary annual bonus.

Working pattern: Mon to Fri, 7.5 hours + 30 minutes lunch break, between 8am and 5pm (flexible within business needs). A relocation package is offered for those moving to the area.

This role is based in Kings Lynn, in the market town situated close to Cambridge, London, and the Norfolk coast.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Nasal Specialist your primary focus will be leading the program and driving new products to market. You will lead technical project assignments, drive the development and industrialisation of drug delivery devices, collaborate closely with the Formulation Team, provide technical leadership to other development engineers, and ensure products meet performance, quality, cost, and manufacturing requirements in line with ISO 13485.

Senior Development Engineer Duties

• Leading technical project assignments and work packages.
• Developing combination products and drug delivery devices.
• Providing technical leadership for product design and industrialisation.
• Managing work package progress and addressing issues.
• Creating, reviewing, and refining product design briefs.
• Ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Key Skills and Experience

• Experience with SMI Nasal technology.
• Demonstrable technical leadership in product development.
• Strong background in precision moulded parts for medical devices.
• Proven ability to lead technical project assignments.
• Experience in industrialising products to specification.
• Solid understanding of regulatory and quality requirements.
• Relevant qualification in an engineering or science discipline.
