Capital Procurement Manager
Are you ready to shape the future of capital investment across a major UK business? Tarmac is seeking an experienced Capital Procurement Manager to take ownership of approximately £200m of annualised CAPEX procurement, driving value, sustainability and strategic impact across our operations.
This is a high visibility, high influence role working closely with directors, senior stakeholders, engineering teams and project managers to ensure our CAPEX procurement processes are efficient, ethical and future focused.
Proven, hands on CAPEX experience is essential for this role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading strategic relationships with key CAPEX suppliers to deliver aligned value and performance
- Influencing and partnering with stakeholders across Engineering, Project Management and senior leadership teams
- Acting as the business expert in end to end CAPEX procurement, covering tendering, supply markets and contract management
- Managing and developing the CAPEX procurement team, fostering strong communication and continuous improvement
- Maximising the value of capital budgets through effective negotiation and proactive engagement
- Upholding the highest ethical standards across all procurement activity
- Driving sustainability improvements and contributing to Tarmac’s net zero carbon initiative across the supply chain
What We’re Looking For
- Mandatory, proven CAPEX procurement experience within an engineering or industrial environment
- Experience managing and improving end to end CAPEX procurement processes
- Strong project management capability and a track record of delivering business critical projects
- Ideally MCIPS qualification (or working toward it)
